July 26 - 11 a.m. KVA Unit 72 Ceremony and Luncheon commemorating the 55th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice.

July 26 - KVA Ontario Region General Meeting, Holiday Inn, 30 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton, Ontario.

July 27 - Parade, 10:30 a.m., KVA National Wall of Remembrance, Meadowvale Cemetery, Brampton, Ontario.

July 27 - KVA Unit 21, 55th Anniversary Celebrations of the Korean War Ceasefire, Edmonton, Alberta

July 27 - 12 noon, KVA Unit 61 Commemoration of the 55th Anniversary of the Korean War Ceasefire, Royal Canadian Legion #256, Nanaimo, B.C. Pot luck lunch to follow; everyone welcome.
 
July 27 - 11 a.m. KVA Unit 46, service and presentations commemorating the 55th Anniversary of the Korean War ceasefire, Nutana Royal Canadian Legion, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
 

August 3 - 1 p.m. KVA Unit 7 (National Capital Unit), unveiling of a new plaque and rededication of the Unit 7 Memorial at Ottawa City Hall.
 
 August 4 - British Columbia's 150th Birthday Celebration.  The following events will be held in Burnaby.
                8:30 a.m. VIP and Korea Veterans' Reception in the Burnaby Village Museum.
                10:30 a.m. Ceremony at the Korean War Memorial.
                11:45 a.m.  Parade including KVA.
                12:00 noon.  Free transportation will be provided between all listed activities in vintage military vehicles

September 5-6 - KVA Prairie Region Annual Meeting and Reunion, hosted by Unit 67, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 104, Innisfail, Alberta.
 
September 12-14 - KVA National Convention, Kitchener, Ontario. Registration.

September 21 - KVA Unit 17 Honours & Awards Dinner, Royal Canadian Legion, Rockwood Branch 303.  341 Wilton Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

 


Korea Revisit Program

Must belong to a regular KVA unit or to the General John M. Rockingham Memorial, Heritage Unit #1

First-time visitors only.  Those who have been on a revisit previously, do not qualify.

Must have served in Korea (or surrounding waters or air flights) between 25 June 1950 and 15 October 1954 .

Limited participation.  First-come, first-served.

United Nations Memorial Cemetery Busan

 

The Korean Embassy is looking for relatives of Canadian forces who were killed during the Korean War and who are buried in the UNMC in Busan South Korea. The visit will take place in October

 If you are aware of a relative who would be interested in taking part in this program, could you please forward the information to Paul Rochon, National Revisit Chairman by the end of April he will then pass all of the information on to the Embassy in Ottawa.

 The selected candidates can be contacted directly by the Embassy.
