Bonjour, Je suis représentant Marine au Conseil National de l'Association Nationale des Anciens des Forces Françaises de l'ONU et du Régiment de Corée (ANAFF ONU-RC). J'étais sur l'escorteur LA GRANDIÉRE, contribution française dans les eaux Coréennes en 1950. Ce batiment a été intègré au Fourth Frigate Squadron (F4) Commonwealth, placé sous commandement britannique (eh oui ...!) et je correspond régulièrement avec des amis anglais qui étaient à bord de notre compagnon HMS MOUNTSBAY. Vous pourrez lire notre histoire (en anglais ...) à l'URL indiqué. Le Bataillon Français de l'ONU a débarqué à Pusan le 29 Novembre 1951 pour être intègré dans le 23rdIR US, Second (Indianhead)Infantry Division, et a combattu vaillamment jusqu'à la fin des hostilités en Juillet 1953. Bien entendu, nous sommes toujours en relation avec ces compagnons d'armes américains. Souhaitant avoir des contacts avec nos cousins Canadiens. Served with 2PPCLI from August,1950 to March, 1952. (Pioneer Platoon, SP Coy.) I hope to be at the Regimental Reunion in Edmonton next Summer. The KVA Convention in Ottawa in 2000 sounds like a good idea, too. I'd like to attend.
