The
Unit was set and organized by Jack Cotter in November 2003, officially started in
January 2004 with the assistance of the Founding Members.
We
have made good relationship with our Mayor and City Council, and community at
large. Our Korea Veterans Logo was placed on Community Service board on
Highway
108 to
Elliot Lake
by City Council.
We are hosted by R.C.L. Branch
561, Elliot Lake, Ontario.
Our
Unit Volunteers in the following areas:
St.
Joseph Hospital, Detox Center, Meals on Wheels,
Food
Drive, Women Crises Centre,
Sea Cadets, Men's Hostel, Citizens Patrol, Anti Poverty Coalition and looking for more services that we can assist...
Yes we are an active group in the Community

on January 01/05, picture was taken by a Director of our Unit Fred Mann
(Liaison to both political parties, Mr. Brown MPP & Mr. St.Dennis
MP, of Algoma/Manitoulin. Mr./Mrs. Lee are members of our Unit.
Mr. Lee was with the ROK in 1953 moved to Canada late 1975, and set up a
business in Toronto, retired and moved to Elliot Lake in 2004 and joined
our Unit.
